In 2009-10 we met monthly at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in St. Louis city, and heard from folks that it would be nice to meet in the county. In 2010-2011 we met monthly at Emmanuel Church in Webster Groves, but many fewer were actually able to make the meetings. A few thought we might try a virtual meeting online and we've attempted twice a month on Mondays. But, it never quite took off and now Mondays won't work for our active folks. So, if you want to start something back up, just send us an …
Hey all, I tried to start this group a few years ago and we had some luck but it fizzled out. I am just hoping to find a group to get together once in a while to catch a Cardinals game, in tv or in person. I am all for getting together to watch road games at a sports bar, etc. I am open to other ideas as well. Hope to get things up and running in time for opening day.
… I started this group, because when I moved most of the moms groups I found seemed to be out in the county, or seemed less than progressive. I wanted a group for City Mamas to have fun with their kiddos in a supportive, friendly environment. I/we'll plan a variety of activities in and around St. Louis. Especially during the warm weather, almost all of our events are within St. Louis City, although in the winter, we do include a number of indoor activities in the city and county. I imagine this …

… How do I find the people and places that would make me feel at home…more reminiscent of Chicago, Atlanta, New York, LA, San Francisco, Washington DC or the big city mentality from which I just moved away? How do I find a group of my contemporaries - not just "for kids" and young professionals. Where are the people like me?...The people that like NEW people and new places? But if this grass roots activity could somehow take hold internationally, think of the possibilities for world peace and our environment when co-operation would be needed just …
